Renovation of three storey Georgian House purchased 2019 and found to be languishing in disrepair. The building has been stripped of damaging cementitious renders, gypsum plasterboard, manufactured insulations, asbestos panels and other unhealthy products. This pealing back led to the exposure of Georgian brickwork and timber work sometimes found shimmied up with oyster shells (additionally winkle shells found in attic!).
Newly introduced materials are all natural products including extensive lime mortaring and lime render. Hemp and sheepswool insulations and new oak joists sourced from a local woodmonger in Kingsdown.
