Wayne is Director in charge of our education, housing, healthcare and higher educational projects. He is also a CABE Design Council appointed Built Environment Expert and serves on several regionally based design review panels. Current clients include Alfreton School Derbyshire, Homerton University Hospital, Trinity College Dublin, Hornsey Library Haringey and the Harrow Foundation John Lyon School.

He is an RIBA Client Adviser and has been an RIBA Part 3 professional practice examiner for over 5 years. He is also a regular critic at the Bartlett School of Architecture and Westminster University School of Architecture.

His 20 years’ experience spans healthcare, schools, housing and universities, to infrastructure and master planning. He has led seven projects which have achieved RIBA awards, he recently led the Creative Arts Hub in Norwich which won a National Civic Trust National Award and AJ Excellence Award. This year he led the team to deliver a new educational facility in the Listed Peckham Rye park, the building won a Blueprint Award and is shortlisted for the Architects Journal Public Building of the Year.

Wayne also maintains a particular interest in promoting sustainable and eco-friendly design and is currently a member of the London Energy transformation Initiative Task Force. LETI is developing a technical guidance roadmap which will set out the approach, targets and benchmarks that developments in the UK need to achieve to reach Net Zero in operation.

Marianne was taught at the Aarhus School of architecture in Denmark. She has worked with urbanist practices in London including EAST, MUF and Publica. She has also taught architecture at the University of East London for ten years.

Frehiwot manages our human resources and administrative systems, as well as working on marketing and bids. She is responsible for maintaining our ISO 9001, ISO 14001, health and safety and other business accreditations. She also manages Rapport3, our project and resources management software.

Her architectural training, experience with other practices, efficiency and tact ensure that her colleagues are able to focus on design and delivery of their projects in line with our quality management system, while being confident that our office systems provide the support they need.

Clara joined CLTH to be part of the school projects team, last year Clara became Associate in the group. Currently Clara plays a leading role in the practice education group and has recently delivered a major new build SEN school for Essex Council. She is now managing a further SEN school with housing provision and developing detailed design proposals for a new zero carbon school in the Derbyshire Hills. She has excellent on site experience of dealing with various typology of buildings from community housing, office spaces to public realm.

In the past she took part in projects such as the Madrid Logytel Headquarters, applying numerous sustainable innovations to the design, and the award winning Contemporary Art Centre Coleccion ARCO at the Matadero Madrid.

Clara was selected to represent the Lund University for the Schindler Awards 2008 competition.

Will studied architecture at the University of Liverpool and the Royal College of Art. He is Design team leader on a major mixed-use housing scheme for the London Borough of Brent. He is also overseeing two further projects for the London Borough of Sutton to deliver new social housing and a retrofit scheme which remodels a former vicarage into homes for first time buyers. Will also has experience of public realm, museum design and housing at all scales in his previous roles at Metropolitan Workshop and Rick Mather Architects.

Architect Simon Bumstead is interested in both environmental and social sustainability having worked in London practices specialising in social housing projects. He studied in Newcastle and Westminster. He is currently working with the team to develop technical information on an exciting mixed use scheme in the London Borough of Brent to provide a new Adult Education Centre, Affordable Workspace and over 80 homes.
Simon is also overseeing a new build community room and cafe project for
Worthing Council and the development of a new build educational facility for the Harrow Foundation John Lyon School.

Richard studied at Newcastle, Westminster and Sheffield University, on a unique course combining RIBA Part I and MEng Structural Engineering, with his thesis being nominated for RIBA North East Hadrian’s medal.

Having worked previously at Ben Adams Architects on a variety of projects in the Office, Residential, Leisure and Healthcare Sectors, Richard joined us to work on the Wolverhampton Public Healthcare Hub, the largest mixed-use project the city has to date.
He is also now managing as contract administrator our project with the London Borough of Haringey to remodel Hornsey library.

Richard is interested in community projects and is currently working with a childhood obesity charity project to design and build a mobile food bike to be used in schools

Lesley is a key senior architect who concentrates on technical architecture, making buildings buildable, while working to maintain the highest level of design quality within budgets and programmes.

Before joining CLTH in 2009, Lesley developed technical and construction information for schools, hospitals, affordable housing, retail and leisure projects during 25 years.

Lesley previously worked on competition winning Sheltered housing scheme Barnet Lane Elstree and was the competition winner for the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, an urban landmark with refined interior spaces for entertainment, on a site constrained by a matrix of underground utility and transport tunnels and for a private house for a well known music mogul.

She likes to run production teams so efficiently that they have enough time to enjoy life. Lesley participates in Barnet Fora and local residents association issues in Cricklewood where she has lived for 30 years.

Peter, formerly an Associate and Sector lead for Healthcare at Penoyre & Prasad, recently completed the New QE2 Hospital in Welwyn Garden City and Grade II listed Oddfellows Hall’s extension and refurbishment as part of Manchester University MECD project, with Mecanoo.

Peter has also worked on refurbishment of the original QE2 cruise ship interiors, Wolverhampton Civic Hall refurbishment and Southwark Underground Station as part of the jubilee line extension.

Peter joins us to work on our Brent mixed-use scheme, Isleden House, and Wolverhampton Public Sector Hub, the City’s largest mixed-use project to date.

Sarah is Senior Consultant with a history of Education Design in the practice. She now focuses on New Business and Client Liaison. She takes a keen interest in the practice’s Social Value, Diversity and Equalities strategies and design for Special Needs and Disabilities. She is currently undertaking Passivhaus accreditation training.

Award-winning projects include Fitzjohn’s Primary School, Camden, St Wilfrid’s Secondary School, Crawley, and Glenwood and Lexden Heath Special Schools, Essex

She is an RIBA Client Adviser, and has advised on projects in Barking & Dagenham, Bournemouth & Poole, Cambridgeshire, Haringey and Tower Hamlets, often managing complex consultation processes.

Sarah has been an RIBA Part 3 professional practice examiner for over 10 years and is one of the practice’s champions for our graduate trainee programme.

An expert architectural historian, Dr Manolo Guerci is a consultant to CLTH on matters of conservation and heritage.

Manolo is a senior lecturer at the Kent School of Architecture and Planning, with expertise on the the principles and philosophies of conservation, construction processes and building techniques. He trained as both an architect and historian in Rome, London, Paris and Cambridge. As part of his training on the conservation of historic buildings, he worked in France for the ‘Monuments Historiques’. In 2016, he was elected a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries in London in recognition of his achievements in these fields.

Paulo is in expert consultant to CLTH in the design of exhibitions, museums, visitor attractions and the integration of digital technology and architecture.

He has a 22 year career spanning multiple project types and sectors including brand experiences, museums, visitor attractions, innovation centres, exhibitions and events. This has included blue chip brands such as 3M, Diageo and IBM as well as national institutions and historic environments including The Natural History Museum. Paulo is a qualified architect and experienced project lead for a number of schools and academies.

Brahim (BA, DipArch, DE) received his masters from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville (ENSAPB) in 2013 and qualified as an Architect in 2020. He has strong experience in residential projects and worked on our recent major social housing projects for London Boroughs Sutton and Brent. His previous experience includes several residential schemes of varying scales within London including Islington, Barnet and Croydon.

Brahim also has experiece in interior and exhibition design, having worked on exhibitions at the at Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Venice Biennale of Architecture

Archie graduated in 2018 with a diploma from The Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow. He joined CLTH in January 2019 as a Part II Architectural Assistant. He is currently working with director Oliver and the residential team delivering social housing for the London Borough of Sutton. His previous experience includes working on a large residential scheme in Croydon and working on the renovation and conservation of period and Listed buildings in the Lake District.

Francesca joins us after completing her undergraduate studies in Politecnico di Milano, Italy and Uppsala Universitet, Sweden, and her MA Architecture at the Royal college of Art, where she received the West RIBA Award in her fourth year.

She has worked extensively across Europe, including Italian exhibition design, heritage and planning in Sweden and art manufacture in the UK. She is a keen carpenter, having refurbished an 'Ilha' (worker's house) in Portugal. Francesca is currently working on our mixed use residential project, Morland Gardens, continuing to develop her interest in community projects and sustainability.

Georgia joins us having recently exhibited her work in Ljubljana! Completing her Part II in Ferrara, Italy and with experience working in Austria, Spain and Italy she joins the Education team to work on Alfreton Park School, a new sustainable facility for students with special educational needs set in the beautiful Derbyshire Hills.

Jason has graduated from Oxford Brookes University having studied Part Two Architecture Diploma through an office based course whilst working at CLTH.

Jason is currently working with the CLTH residential team delivering housing for the London Borough of Sutton. He has also worked extensively on varied CLTH educational buildings across London and the south east.

Jason has the role of IT manager within the office, implementing and administering the office IT strategy.

He has extensive knowledge of all RIBA project stages from inception through to completion. In the past he has project lead numerous residential schemes that comprise a broad spectrum of housing such as social, community and high-end residential projects. Jason also has experience within other architectural sectors that includes community, hospitality, and mixed use projects.

Rallou joins us after aiding the development of the spatial reading and urban strategy for the Meridian Water Masterplan in the London Borough of Enfield. She completed her Master’s Degree at Central Saint Martins in 2019. Prior to this she completed her Part I and Part II at the University of Nottingham.

Her thesis project "Collectively Industrial" was nominated for a MAISON/ 0 Green Trail Award and suggests for industry to participate in the re-imaging of the industrial estate and its co-location within mixed-use developments.

Rallou has previously held positions at award winning practices, such as Urban Projects Bureau in London, A&T Kontodimas Architects and creative initiative SOPHIA Enjoy Thinking in Athens. She has been working closely with charities on carrying out placemaking and educational workshops in Refugee Camps across Athens.

Bareera Borhan has recently graduated from her Part 1 BA Architecture course from Central St Martins, University of the Arts London. Having taken part in a number of engagement projects while studying Bareera is particularly interested in how architecture can be used to communicate ideas and stories. Bareera enjoys using design as a medium for story telling.

Gabriella graduated with her Part 1 BSc from the Bartlett School of Architecture with exceptional design and drawing talent! She has experience across every sector within the office, from providing visuals for the winning bid team for Morland Gardens, to presenting at final meetings for Hornsey Library.

She enjoyed working on the early conceptual stages of John Lyon School, including attending the Design Review Panel, as well as with the contractors on Kidbrooke Park Primary, coordintating BREEAM requirements.

She is currently working on DETAILS: New Towns, with Director Wayne Head, commisioned by Stevenage Borough Council and Milton Keynes Council.
