The Carshalton Boys’ project is in three new elements: a classroom, a WC space allied to the playground and a judo hall. The beautiful judo hall is designed as a traditional Japanese “dojo” with timber framing lined with interior timber panels. Clerestory windows maximise natural light while limiting glare and solar gain.

8 classrooms and 2 ICT suites comprise the new classroom building that, with the existing buildings, form a new courtyard.
In the sanitary space, passive surveillance creates an environment where children feel confident and secure.
